Prince Bishops Homes is delighted to have won a place in the prestigious Fastest50 league table of the North-East’s quickest growing companies – a third consecutive appearance in the listing.
The accolade comes after Prince Bishops Homes increased its turnover by more than 35% over the course of two financial years, ranking the company in 40th place for 2017.
The Fastest50 league table highlights those companies in the North East region which have grown most rapidly. The 50 companies in the listing, which is put together by Ward Hadaway law firm, were all invited to a celebratory event at the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art in Gateshead, and a full run down of the companies has featured in a supplement published in The Journal newspaper.
Prince Bishops Homes, a subsidiary of the not-for-profit landlord and developer Karbon Homes, qualified after growing from £1.7m turnover in 2013/14 to £2.3m in 2015/16 – an expansion of 35%.
Charlotte Carpenter, executive director of business growth and development at Karbon Homes, said: “This award means recognition for our staff, and importantly reflects that in the two years in question, Prince Bishops Homes was successfully delivering vital new homes for a section of the marketplace which can otherwise be excluded from home ownership.
“This accolade is especially welcome at a time when our sector is in the national spotlight, and landlords and developers like Prince Bishops Homes and Karbon Homes are working hard to bring forward residential development schemes that provide homes for all – whether owned, rented, shared ownership or Rent-to-Buy.”
